TWO CALLS FRIDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to two calls Friday evening.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m., the department was dispatched to the Brenham State Supported Living Center, 4001 Highway 36 South, for a report of a transportation incident.  Firefighters found a two-vehicle accident with fluids leaking.  They cleaned the roadway off and used dry absorbent on the spill before returning to service.

Just past 7:45 p.m., units were called out to a home in the 800 block of West Fifth Street for a gas smell inside the garage.  Firefighters arrived on location along with the City of Brenham Gas Department.  Upon finding no reading on the gas detector, BFD units returned to the station.
