ROUND TOP-CARMINE EARNS DISTRICT WIN OVER MCDADE

The Round Top-Carmine Cubettes pulled away in the third quarter to pick up a 46-37 district over McDade on Tuesday night.

The Cubettes led the game 7-6 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, both teams put nine points on the board, and RT-C lead 16-15 at halftime.

The Cubettes had their biggest quarter in the third in which they scored 17 points to just 11 for McDade. RT-C also outscored them in the fourth quarter by a 13-11 margin.

Kennedy Flinn led the Cubettes with 17 points and she was followed by Jill Eilers with 12 points.

RT-C improves to 4-4 overall and 4-1 in District. Next up, they will travel to Fayetteville on Friday for a 5pm start time.
