FOUR CALLS BETWEEN FRIDAY, SATURDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to four calls between Friday and Saturday.

Around 1:45 p.m. Friday, the department went out to the Washington County EMS Station, 1875 Highway 290 West, for a motor vehicle accident.  Units arrived and found two vehicles on the shoulder of the road with minor damage.  There was no fire or fluids leaking.  Firefighters turned the scene over to law enforcement.

Just before 4:15 p.m., BFD members responded to a fire alarm at Brenham High School, 525 A H Ehrig Drive.  Upon arrival, the department found that everyone had evacuated the building.  Nothing was found after a check of the building, and the alarm was reset.

Around 2 a.m. Saturday, units were dispatched for a fire alarm at Super 8 by Wyndham, 2209 Highway 290 East.  Workers met the fire department at the door and advised that the alarm was set off by burned food.  No action was needed from firefighters.

Shortly before 7:45 p.m., the department was called out to the 7200 block of Highway 290 West for a crash with entrapment.  Units found one car with major damage after it hit the rear of a trailer.  The driver was out of the car prior to their arrival.  The Berlin Volunteer Fire Department set up traffic control while Brenham firefighters assisted EMS.  One person was transported with unknown injuries.
