NORMANGEE SWEEPS DOUBLEHEADER OVER BURTON
In the battle of the Panthers, it was Normangee getting a pair of victories over Burton last (Wednesday) night.
GIRLS
Normangee used a big fourth quarter to defeat the Burton Lady Panthers 51-37. Burton was leading 33-29 at the end of the third quarter, but Normangee outscored them 22-4 during the final quarter to get the win.
Tiara Burns led Burton with 16 points, while Ciara Burns chipped in 11 points.
Normangee improved to 4-0 in district, while Burton dropped to 2-2.

BOYS
On the boys' side, Normangee defeated the Burton Panthers 47-37.
Tyrone Gilmon led Burton with 11 points and eight rebounds. Jason Gonzalez had nine points, while K.D. Patterson had eight points and five rebounds.
Normangee improved to 2-0 in district, while Burton dropped to 0-2.
Next up, the Panthers will have a doubleheader on Friday night in Mumford. The girls will play at 6:15pm, followed by the boys at 7:30pm.
