THREE CALLS WEDNESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Wednesday.

At noon, the department received a report of a fire alarm at H-E-B, 2508 South Day Street.  Firefighters arrived and found a busted sprinkler pipe under the canopy outside the building.  Water was turned off to the system, and all units returned to the station.

BFD members were then called out at 12:30 p.m. to a fire alarm at Argent Court Assisted Living, 2815 Victory Lane.  When they arrived, they discovered a busted sprinkler pipe inside the facility.  Staff shut the water off, and firefighters helped staff with removing the water from the inside.  Once the water was removed, units cleared the call.

At 1:30 p.m., the department was dispatched to a fire alarm in the 400 block of West First Street, but the alarm was found to be false, so firefighters returned to service.
