CUBETTES SNAP LOSING STREAK WITH WIN OVER A&M CONSOLIDATED
The Brenham Cubette Basketball Team snapped their four game losing streak with a 33-29 win over the A&M Consolidated Lady Tigers on Friday night.
Brenham outscored A&M Consolidated 13-11 in the first half, and 20-18 in the second half
Halle Scheel led the Cubettes with 12 points. Antiyahna Lang had nine points.
The win improved Brenham to 16-15 overall and 4-5 in district.
Next up, the Cubettes will host Rudder on Tuesday night at 6:30pm at the Brenham High School Gym. Both teams are tied for fifth place and one game behind Magnolia for fourth place in the standings with five games left in the regular season.
The first time these two teams met, on December 15, the Cubettes came away with a 51-44 victory on Rudder's home court.
It's also Youth Night. Kids arriving at 6pm can meet the Varsity and get autographs. Entry is free and they also get a free hot dog.
Kids will also get to stand on the sidelines as the Varsity enters and join the players at mid-court.
They can also stand on the court for the national anthem and player introductions.
