TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED SUNDAY

  

Two people were arrested Sunday by the Brenham Police Department.

They report that Sunday morning at 10:35, Sergeant Sierra Randle conducted a traffic stop at the 2100 block of Highway 290 West. Investigation revealed the driver, Elijah Michael Maschke, 22 of Austin, was in possession of marijuana. Maschke was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and booked into the Washington County Jail without incident.

Then Sunday afternoon at 1:05, Officers responded to the 300 block of Riggs Street to a possible disturbance in progress. Upon further investigation, Markell Lee, 22 of Brenham, was taken into custody for Assault Family Violence Against a Household Member by Impeding Breath or Circulation and Escaping While Arrested or Confined. Lee was then transported to Washington County Jail where he was then booked in.
