BRENHAM CHOIR STUDENT CHOSEN ALL-STATE
Brenham High School Choir Member Hank Kopech has been selected to perform at the upcoming Texas Music Educators Association Clinic and Convention.
The performance will be held on Saturday, February 10, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio.
After going through a competitive process at the district, region, and area levels, Kopech was chosen to be a member of the Texas All-State Tenor Bass Choir.
Hank is the son of LeAnne Baugus and Kenneth Kopech.
He sings bass in the Brenham High School Choir under the direction of Amanda Seymour.
Kopech is also a student of Blinn College Choir Director Daniel Bircher.
To be selected for the All-State Choir is the highest honor a Texas music student can receive.
It will be Kopech’s first time to perform as a member of a TMEA All-State Organization.
Over 70,000 students from around the state of Texas compete for the honor to perform in one of 18 ensembles. Only 1,875 students, or 2.6% are chosen.
Congratulations Hank! This is a huge accomplishment and honor! I am so proud of you!!
