ONE CALL TUESDAY, ANOTHER EARLY WEDNESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department responded to one call Tuesday and one early this (Wednesday) morning.

Around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters were dispatched to the 2900 block of Highway 290 West for a transportation incident with entrapment.  They arrived on location to find a two-vehicle accident with entrapment.  The department extricated the driver and front seat passenger of one of the vehicles before cleaning the highway off and returning to service.  The condition of the two patients is currently unknown.

Shortly after 12:30 a.m. today, BFD members were called out to the 800 block of West Second Street for a report of a structure fire.  They made location to find nothing showing from the exterior of the building and thought the building might have been struck by lightning.  An alarm company arrived to find the alarm panel disabled and turned the alarm off.  Firefighters then cleared the scene.
