WASHINGTON CO. APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD ELECTS 2024 OFFICERS, RECOGNIZES OUTGOING MEMBER
The Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors met Tuesday to elect its officers for 2024, introduce a new member and honor a departing one.
Leslie Boehnemann Jr. was chosen to serve as board chair, while Charles Gaskamp was selected as vice chair and Douglas Borchardt was designated as secretary.
The board also introduced new member Halee Stark Kalkhake, who is coming on to the board after its election for the 2024-25 term. Kalkhake fills the seat of John Schaer Jr., who was recognized for over 24 years of service to the appraisal district.
During her report to the board, Chief Appraiser Dyann White announced that the appraisal district should receive its 2023 property value study results by the end of the month. She also said her proposed budget will go out to the board and taxing entities by February 15th.
