BLINN SOFTBALL SEASON OPENING GAMES POSTPONED

The Blinn Buccaneer Softball Team will have to wait until next weekend to get the 2024 season underway.

The Bucs were scheduled to take part in the Island Invitational Tournament, which is hosted by Galveston College. They were supposed to play two games (today) and two games tomorrow (Saturday).

However, due to the large amount of rain received Monday-Wednesday, Galveston made the decision to cancel the tournament.

The Bucs will now officially open their season at home next Friday. They are scheduled to face #18 Ranked Bossier Parish College in a doubleheader at Hohlt Park in Brenham beginning at 1pm.

Prior to that, Buccaneer Head Coach Rick Church and some of the players will be on this Monday night's edition of the Brenham Sportsline here on KWHI to preview the upcoming season. Listen live beginning at 5:35pm on 1280AM, 101.7FM, and KWHI.com. It will also be livestreamed on the KWHI Facebook Page.
