BURTON POWERLIFTERS COMPETE AT ELGIN INVITATIONAL
Six members of the Burton Panther Powerlifting Team took part in the Elgin Invitational this past Saturday where they competed in a pool of over 400 lifters.
Jackson Morey finished third place in the 123 lb. weight class with a combined lift of 685 pounds. With that finish, he is now 10th in the 2A Region IV standings.
Mark Odom finished in first place in the 132 lb. weight class with a combined lift of 950. With that finish, he is now in first place in the 2A Region IV standings.
Next up, the Lady Panther Power Lifting Team will be traveling to Brazos High School in Wallis for a meet on Wednesday. After that, both teams are going to the Rice Consolidated Meet on Altair on Saturday, February 17.
