FOUR PEOPLE ARRESTED SATURDAY

Four people were arrested Saturday by the Brenham Police Department.

They report that early Saturday morning at 2:50, Officer Nicolas Conforti observed a vehicle driving the wrong way on the Highway 290 East Frontage Road.  A traffic stop was attempted, however, the vehicle fled and the driver bailed out in the parking lot located in the 2100 block of Highway 290 East. The driver was located and identified as Javorian Deshaun Jones, 19 of Brenham.  He was placed under arrest for Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle and Reckless Driving and transported to Washington County Jail for booking.

Then Saturday morning at 6:35, Officers were dispatched to a business located in the 2600 block of Highway 36 South in reference to a harassment. Initial investigation revealed Nathan Zetina, 20, was harassing an employee. Zetina was eventually placed in custody for Harassment and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.

Then Saturday afternoon at 5:55, Officers responded to a residence located in the 300 block of Riggs Street in reference to a disturbance. Investigation revealed Michael LeRoy Hooper, 44 of Brenham, physically assaulted his girlfriend. Hooper was placed into custody and transported to The Washington County Jail where he was booked for Assault of Family or Household Member with a Previous Conviction.

Then Saturday night at 9:00, Officer Conforti conducted a traffic stop in the 2700 block of Highway 290 West. While speaking to the operator of the vehicle, the operator fled the traffic stop in the vehicle and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit continued on Highway 290 West and the vehicle was located in Fayette County. The driver, Denes Earl Gilleylen, 33 of Missouri City, was arrested in Fayette County and was charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle, Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz, Reckless Driving, Unlawful Carrying Weapon, and Driving While License Invalid, Enhanced.
