TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED FRIDAY
Two people were arrested Friday by Brenham Police.
They report that Friday afternoon at 4:50, Officers were dispatched to a welfare concern in the 2200 block of South Market Street. Caller reported a male subject walking in circles in the parking lot. Officers located the subject identified as, James Michael Beamon, 30 of Bleiblerville. Beamon was discovered to have a local warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance. During the arrest, he resisted officers and was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport. Beamon was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Prohibited Substance in a Correction Facility, and Tampering or Fabricating Physical Evidence with the Intent to Impair.
Then Friday evening at 6:30, Officers responded to a minor crash located near the 2600 block of Highway 36 South. While conducting the investigation, one of the driver’s involved was identified as Nolan Ryan Ashby, 47 of Georgetown, and was found to be in possession of narcotics and a handgun. Nolan was placed in custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
