BRENHAM ACTIVIST ASSOCIATION TO HOLD BLACK HISTORY BREAKFAST FEB. 10

  

The Brenham Activist Association marks the return this year of its annual Black History Breakfast.

The gathering will be held on Saturday, February 10th at the New Life Church of God Fellowship Hall, 1900 FM 389 in Brenham.  Serving begins at 8:30 a.m., and the program starts at 9 a.m.

This will the first time the event is held since the COVID pandemic.

The featured speaker for the breakfast will be Patricia Hogan Williams.  Williams is the founding head and executive director of the Imani School in Houston, one of the largest Christian, private, predominantly African American schools in the nation.  She has also served as an adjunct professor at Texas Southern University.

Williams has received numerous honors and recognitions, including the National Urban League Women of Power Award, President Biden’s Lifetime Achievement Award, the Greater Houston Black Chamber of Commerce Pinnacle Award, and several community service and outstanding educator awards.
