CUBS DOMINATE MAGNOLIA WEST 67-41

The Brenham Cub Basketball Team picked up a dominating 67-41 win over the Magnolia West Mustangs tonight (Friday night) at the Brenham High School Gym.

Brenham jumped on Magnolia West early and often.

The Cubs grabbed a 12-9 lead after the first quarter. They then outscored the Mustangs 19-8 in the second quarter to take a 31-17 advantage into the locker room at halftime.

Brenham also outscored Magnolia West 21-14 in the third quarter to take a 52-31 lead.

The Cubs would win the fourth quarter as well, 15-10 over the Mustangs, to secure the game 67-41.

Elijah Ferguson led the way with 17 points. Issac Powell added 12 points.

All of the Brenham players got into the game and scored at least one point in the victory.

The Cubs improve to 22-8 on the season and 5-6 in district. Next up, they will be at College Station High School on Tuesday night at 6:30pm.
