WARRANT ARREST ON TWO PEOPLE

  

Two people were arrested Thursday for outstanding warrants.

Brenham Police report that Thursday morning at 8:40 Cpl. Jose Perez observed a wanted subject, Gerardo Zamora, 33 of Brenham, sitting near the intersection of Harrell Road and Limit Street.  Zamora was placed in custody for two active felony warrants. Further investigation revealed that Zamora was in possession of narcotics.  Zamora was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked in for his active warrants and for Possession of a Controlled substance.

Then Thursday afternoon at 3:50, Officers were patrolling the area of Burleson Street at West Vulcan Street when a known wanted individual was located. Anthony Lee Vela, 34 of Brenham, was taken into custody for two outstanding warrants; Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport and another for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, and transported to the Washington County Jail.
