CUB POWER LIFTERS FINISH THIRD AT BVPL MEET
The Brenham Cub Powerlifting Team had a successful outing on Monday at the latest Brazos Valley Powerlifting League Meet.
As a team, the Cubs finished in third place with 33 points.
Individually, Evo Beach was first in the 123lb. weight class with a combined lift of 660 pounds.
Michael Gonzalez was first in the 165lb. weight class with a combined lift of 1,495 pounds. In the same division, Andre Powell was fourth with 1,115 pounds, and Rylee Davis was sixth with 1,055 pounds.
In the 198lb. weight class, John Rigsby was 2nd with 1,330 pounds and Conner Appelt was 4th with 1,195 pounds.
Mason Seeber finished 14th in the 220lb. weight class with 865 pounds.
In the 242lb. weight class, Matthew Phillips was third with 1,265 pounds, Dane Kruse was fourth with 1,165 pounds, and Sane Escamilla was sixth with 1,025 pounds.
Meanwhile, Antonie Najera finished second in the 275lb. weight class with a combined lift of 1,190 pounds.
Their next meet will be on Wednesday, February 21.
