PANTHERS AND LADY PANTHERS FALL TO MUMFORD

Mumford spoiled the home finale for the Burton Lady Panthers with a 43-25 victory last (Tuesday) night at the Burton High School Gym.

Tiara Burns and Ciara Burns led the Lady Panthers with eight points each.

Burton finishes the regular season in a tie with Iola for third place in District 26-2A.

Those teams will face off one more time in a one game playoff on Friday night at 6pm in Hearne. The winner goes into the playoffs as the #3 seed, while the loser will go in as the #4 seed.

Meanwhile, Mumford beat the Burton Panthers 65-35. Eli Simank led the Panthers with nine points.

Burton will host Iola in their home finale on Friday night, and then wrap up the regular season against Snook on Tuesday, February 13.
