The American Legion Quade-Werchan Post #338 and their Ladies Auxiliary participated in the recent Round Top-Carmine Education Foundation “Small Town, Big Hearts Fundraiser.”

During the event, the Post presented a check to the foundation in the amount of $1,200.

For the past ten years, the Quade-Werchan Post has partnered with the Round Top-Carmine Education Foundation to support their efforts.

During this time, they have contributed over $14,000 to the organization in support of the school district and their students.

The Post’s donations have been used to purchase new musical instruments for the band program, books for the library, as well as needs related to laptop computers and classroom white boards.

In addition to the financial contributions from the Post itself, their members have also made personal donations to support the Foundation as well.

American Legion Quade-Werchan Post #338 meets the first Thursday of each month at their Hall located at 1503 North State Highway 237 in Round Top.

Meetings begin promptly at 6:30 PM.
