BFD RESPONDS TO FIVE CALLS ON FRIDAY

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to five calls on Friday.

The first call came in around 7:15am on the 900 Block of North Park Street. Firefighters were dispatched to a report of a structure fire.

BFD Units arrived to find smoke coming from a BBQ pit causing concern.  Firefighters units cleared the scene and returned to service.

At 2:30pm, the Brenham Fire Department and the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the 3000 Block of FM 389 for a report of a grass fire. 

A BFD unit arrived on the scene to find a stump smoking. Firefighters used tank water to cool the stump off.  

The Brenham Fire Department would next be dispatched about five minutes later to a traffic accident in the 1100 Block of Highway 36 North.

BFD arrived on the scene to check for fluids.  No fluids were leaking, so they returned to service.

They were then called to the Brenham State Supported Living Center at 4001 Highway 36 South for an alarm sounding. Upon arrival, an employee advised them that a resident had pulled the alarm while having a behavioral issue.

The final call came in at 8:40pm on the 500 Block of East Main Street for a report of an alarm sounding.

Firefighters found some burnt toast in the kitchen.  After clearing the smoke out with fans, they returned to service.
