RIBBON CUTTING, GRAND OPENING FRIDAY FOR BRENHAM SCHOOLHOUSE HOTEL
A historic school property in Brenham newly renovated into a short-term rental property will celebrate its grand opening tomorrow (Friday).
The Brenham Schoolhouse Hotel, located at 600 East Alamo Street, will have vendors, live music and food trucks on site from 4 to 7 p.m. A Washington County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting will be held at 4 p.m.
Built in 1883, the schoolhouse building was formerly the first free public high school in Texas. The property now serves as a rental venue with seven private suites, a common area, lounge and kitchen. It is managed by KOZE Vacation Rentals.
