WASHINGTON COUNTY 4-H AT THE FORT WORTH STOCK SHOW

  
Kinleigh Guidry (Pearl Jones)

Washington County 4-H was well represented at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.

Members exhibited their livestock in the Junior Breeding Heifer Show, Junior Market Barrow Show, Junior Market Goat Show, and the Junior Market Steer Show. 4-H members also competed in the Junior Goat Judging Contest and one member caught a calf at the rodeo in the calf scramble.

Junior Breeding Heifer Results: Taylor Groce was 6th in class with her home raised Charolais heifer calf.

McKenzie Tiemann, Ali Tiemann, Gretchen Merten, and Matthew Philips exhibited their Brangus heifers in the Junior Show.

Matthew Philips was 9th in class with his heifer. The Tiemann sisters were both champions in their classes and contended in their division drives. Gretchen Merten was 2nd in her class and awarded Reserve Champion Junior Division with her Brangus heifer.

The Beefmaster show followed the Brangus show where Landon Flisowski was awarded 7th in class with his heifer.

Stratton Scheffer (Pearl Jones)

Calvin Wunderlich, Lonna Wunderlich, Nolan Wunderlich, and Logan Mason brought their Santa Gertrudis heifers to Fort Worth. Lonna was 10th in class with her heifer, Mason was 3rd in class with his heifer, Nolan was 2nd in class with his heifer, and Calvin was the champion of his class with his Santa Gertrudis heifer. Both Calvin & Nolan were contenders in the division drive.

Jaxson Smith was 2nd in class with his Brahman heifer and contended in the division drive.

Trenton Stewart, Bailee Wilson, and Teagyn Wilson exhibited their Simbrah heifers at the show. Trenton was 5th in class with his heifer, Bailee was second in her class, and Teagyn was the class champion with her Simbrah heifer. Both Bailee & Teagyn were contenders in the division drive.

Kinleigh Guidry exhibited her Jr. Hereford heifer at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. Kinleigh was the champion of her class, champion of her division, and her heifer was awarded Grand Champion Hereford Heifer!

Macie, Makenzie, and Mason Wehmeyer hit the road to Fort Worth with their market goats. This was the first time all 3 siblings showed at a Texas Major Show!

Matthew Philips (Pearl Jones)

Grayden Gaylord was 7th in class with his Hampshire junior market barrow!

Kinleigh Guidry, Cooper Hodde, Stratton Scheffer, Ali Tiemann, and Randa Tillman exhibited their junior market steers. Scheffer was 4th place in class with his home raised lightweight American Steer.

Colton Bilski & Isaiah Brown competed in the Junior Goat Judging Contest and Matthew Philips caught a calf in the calf scramble.
