BRENHAM CUBETTES RECEIVE ALL-DISTRICT HONORS
Several members of the Brenham Cubette Basketball Team received All-District 21-5A honors for the 2023-2024 season.
1st Team - Halle Scheel
2nd Team - Antyiahna Lang
Honorable Mention - Yazmine Gaines, Carmen McWilliams, Jayde Powell, and Janiyah Mathis
Academic All District - Halle Scheel, Antyiahna Lang, Jalayla Hancock, and Ella Scheel

Congratulations honorees! Lang should have been named to 1st team All-District as well. She earned it! Lang has over 500 career rebounds AS A SOPHOMORE, led in scoring during several games, outstanding defense and she does not make All-District! Really? Who is being played here? Jalayla Hancock’s performance really improved this year as well. She was key to a lot of wins by the Cubettes! Hancock should have made one of those All-District teams. Brenham, we have a problem and that problem is probably why our team(s) didn’t advance to or beyond district play.
