BUCCANEERS DROP BOTH GAMES TO GRAYSON VIKINGS

Kaden Dydalewicz (Joe Alberico)

For the first time since he left them to come to Blinn, Coach Dusty Hart faced his former team, the Grayson Vikings, last (Friday) night at Leroy Dreyer Field. The Vikings would get the last laugh though as they swept a doubleheader 2-1 and 11-6.

The Vikings got to Blinn's Kaden Dydalewicz early on a two run homer by DH Trey Oblas in the first. They would later add four more runs in the third to make it 6-0, and never had to look back.

Blinn got one run back on a bases loaded walk to Tavion Vaughns in the bottom of the 3rd to cut it to a 6-1 game.

Oblas homered again for Grayson in the top of the fourth to make it an 8-1 game. Blinn's Tanner Reaves hit a two run homer of his own in the bottom of the inning to cut the lead to 8-3.

The Vikings added one more in the seventh to make it 9-3.

In the bottom of the seventh, Reaves had an RBI single that scored Vaughns to make it 10-4.

Grayson added a run in the eighth to increase their lead to 10-4. While in the bottom of the inning, Blinn scored two runs on an error to cut it to a 10-6 game.

The Vikings added one more insurance run in the top of the 9th to finish it off at 11-6.

Dydalewicz took the loss on the hill. Reaves finished going 3 for 4 with two singles, two walks, a home run, and three RBIs.

The Bucs will host Grayson again this (Saturday) afternoon in a doubleheader beginning at 4pm at Leroy Dreyer Field.
