EARLY VOTING NOW ABOVE 2020 PRIMARY EV NUMBERS

Early voting turnout in the March 5th primary election has now surpassed that of the March 2020 primary.

Washington County Elections Administrator Carol Jackson reports that 492 people, consisting of 455 Republicans and 37 Democrats, voted on Tuesday.  That number is actually the same amount of people who voted on Monday, after 453 Republicans and 39 Democrats came out that day.

Through eight days of early voting, and with three days left, the county has seen 3,487 participants, including 3,223 Republicans and 264 Democrats.  That total is eight voters more than all of 2020’s primary, which drew 3,479 people.

The Washington County Courthouse Annex is still open today (Wednesday) through Friday for early voting.  Hours daily are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
