FINAL EARLY VOTING TOTALS FOR THE MARCH 5TH PRIMARY

  

Early voting wrapped up on Friday with a huge turn out at the Washington County Courthouse Annex.

According to Elections Administrator Carol Jackson, 982 people came out on the final day of early voting to cast their ballots for the March 5 primary election. The total consisted of 903 Republicans and 79 Democrats.

By comparison, in the 2020 election, 549 people cast their ballots early on the last day of early voting. That number was made up of 389 Republicans and 160 Democrats.

During the 2024 early voting period, a grand total of 5,535 people cast their ballots, including 5,091 Republicans and 444 Democrats.

By comparison, in the 2020 election, a grand total of 3,479 people cast their ballots early.  The total consisted of 2,776 Republicans and 703 Democrats.

Those that chose not to vote early will now have to wait until Tuesday to cast their ballots at designated polling places.  KWHI will have live election night coverage after the polls close on Tuesday evening at 7pm.
