CUB GOLF FINISHES SECOND IN WALLER
The Brenham Cub Golf Team had a second-place finish at today’s (Wednesday’s) Waller Tournament at the Sandy Hill Farms Golf Course.
The tournament featured seven teams, and 44 golfers. Overall, the Cubs finished in second place with a team score of 357, which was nine strokes behind the tournament winning team Columbus, who had a 348. Brenham was also just one stroke ahead of third place team, Caldwell, who had a 358.
Cullen Loessin of Columbus was the overall individual winner with a 77. Dalton Winkelmann finished second overall with a 79.
Caleb Klussmann and Kyle Curtis each shot an 89 to finished tied for 13th. Landon Wolf, who entered as an individual medalist for Brenham, shot a 96 overall to finished in 19th place.
Other Cub scores were Kayn Gurka with a 99 and Reagan Asmussen with a 103. Brenham also entered two others as individual medalists. Dexter Ray finished with a 103, and Charlie Kenjura had a 121.
