TWO CALLS TUESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department responded to two calls on Tuesday.
Around 2:30 p.m., the department was dispatched to the North Park Apartments, 910 North Park Street, for a report of a child locked inside a vehicle. Units arrived on location to find the child in no harm. They tried to unlock the vehicle, but after several attempts to gain access with no progress, the Brenham Police Department broke out a side window. The child was checked out by EMS and returned to his mother.
At 10:45 p.m., firefighters were called out to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 305 West Third Street, for an alarm sounding. When they arrived, they found no smoke or fire, and after walking the building found nothing for the alarm to sound. BFD members reset the alarm and returned to service.
