BRENHAM OPTOMETRIST APPOINTED TO STATE BOARD
A local optometrist has achieved a significant milestone in her career with her recent appointment to a state board.
Dr. Mary Kate Walters of VIEW Brenham has been appointed to serve on the Board of Trustees for the Texas Optometric Association.
In her capacity as a trustee, Dr. Walters will collaborate with fellow board members to shape policies, advocate for legislative initiatives, and enhance educational opportunities for optometrists statewide.
In a press release, the TOA said that her unwavering dedication to the optometric profession makes her a valuable addition to their leadership team.
In accepting the appointment, Dr. Walters said that she is honored to join the Board of Trustees of the Texas Optometric Association.
She added that she looks forward to working alongside her esteemed colleagues to address the evolving needs of their profession and to ensure that optometrists and patients across Texas have the support and resources they need for exceptional eye care.
