TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED EARLY MONDAY
Two people were arrested by the Brenham Police Department early Monday.
They Report that early Monday morning at 12 :05, Officers with the Brenham Police Department were dispatched to the 400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway following a report of an assault. While on scene the suspect, Paul Laughlin, 48 of Brenham, had left prior to officers’ arrival, however, he was observed by officers near the scene. Laughlin was taken into custody after a brief pursuit for Evading Arrest with a Vehicle, Interfere with Emergency Request for Assistance, Assault Causes Bodily Injury to a Family Member, and Driving While Intoxicated, 3 or More Convictions. Laughlin was transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in.
Then early Monday morning at 3:30, Officer Nicolas Conforti initiated a traffic stop in the 3600 block of Highway 36 South. A probable cause search was conducted and the driver, Wilder A. Morales, 32 of Bellville, was arrested. He was booked into the Washington County Jail for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.
