BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO THREE CALLS ON FRIDAY
The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Friday.
Firefighters were dispatched to a reported crash at 7:15am, but were unable to locate it so they returned to service.
For the next call, BFD members were sent to the 2400 block of Old Masonic Road for a smoke investigation at 7:30pm. Firefighters arrived on the scene to discover that the smoke in question was coming from a controlled burn. They returned to service.
The final call came in at 8:10pm to the 300 block of North Austin Parkway. The Brenham Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle fire. Firefighters found a small fire in the engine compartment/front bumper area.
BFD members used hand lines and tank water to extinguish the fire. Once the fire was out, they turned the vehicle over to the owner, and cleared the scene.
