CUB GOLF WINS SECOND AT BRENHAM TOURNAMENT

The Brenham Cub Golf Team finished 2nd earlier today at the Brenham Tournament out at the Brenham Country Club.  As a team, the Cubs had a combined score of 324, which was just two strokes behind the tournament winner A&M Consolidated, who finished with a team score of 322. Rounding out the top five were Tomball Memorial in 3rd, Maypearl in 4th, and Klein in 5th.

Brenham’s Dalton Winkelmann finished in first place overall with a 74.  He was one stroke ahead of Dustin Honea from Tomball Memorial and Jackson Black of A&M Consolidated, who finished tied for 2nd with each of them shooting a 75.

Other Cub scores included Levi Dupont, who finished tied for 7th with an 80, Kyle Curtis, who tied for 18th with an 84, Caleb Klussmann, wo tied for 25th with an 86, and Kayn Gurka, who finished tied for 40th with a 91.

This was Brenham’s final tune-up before the District Tournament, which is being held next week Wednesday and Thursday at the Panorama Golf Club in Conroe.
