PANTHERS POUND RICHARDS TO EXTEND WIN STREAK TO NINE

It only took the Burton Panther Baseball Team half an inning to put last (Tuesday) night's game away as they beat Richards 16-0.

Burton scored 15 of their 16 runs in the first inning.

Tyler Witt led off with a walk, stole second, and then scored on an RBI single by Braydon Martin. Martin would then steal second, and come home on an RBI single by Bryson Biggs. Reuben Rodriguez hit a triple to score Biggs. Ryder Biggs reached on a error, and Weston Els came in to run for him. Els scored on an a RBI double to make it 5-0 Burton.

Griffin scored on an RBI single by Simank. Witt was hit by pitch and Logun Tosta walked to load the bases. Martin drew a bases loaded walk to bring home Simank. Colby Beck reach on an error that allowed Witt, Tosta, and Martin to score and increased the Burton lead to 10-0.

Bryson Biggs singled and Rodriguez reached on an error to re-load the bases. Ryder Biggs singles home Beck, and then an error allows Bryson and Rodriguez to both score. Els came in to run for Ryder, and scored on a passed ball. Griffin walked and scored on an RBI single by Witt to make it 15-0 Panthers.

After a scoreless second, Burton tacked on one more run in the third inning. Caleb Nossaman reached on a dropped third strike, and came around to score on a fielder's choice to make it 16-0.

Eli Jaeger got the win going three innings and allowing just one hit.

Burton is now on a nine game winning streak. They will look to make it ten in a row when they host Richards on Friday at 6:30pm at Panther Field in Burton.
