BRENHAM POLICE ARREST THREE ON SATURDAY
Brenham Police made three arrests in three separate incidents on Saturday.
Just after 7pm, Officer Nicolas Conforti conducted a traffic stop in the 600 Block of Highway 290 West. A further investigation led to the driver, 55-year-old Shane Owens of Brenham, being placed under arrest for Wrong, Fictious, Altered, or Obscured Insignia. Owens was also charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. He was booked into the Washington County Jail.
Around 9:45pm, Brenham Police Officers responded to a business located in the 200 Block of Highway 290 West in reference to a criminal trespass. 34-year-old Justin Daniels of Brenham was accused of stealing merchandise from the business, and also had a criminal trespass warning for the premises. Daniels was located nearby, and resisted arrest when officers attempted to place him into custody. Daniels ultimately arrested for Criminal Trespassing, and Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transport.
The final incident occurred at 10:20pm. Brenham Police responded to the 1600 Block of Highway 105 for a report of a disturbance. After an investigation, officers determined that an assault had taken place. 21-year-old Briasia Lashay Martin of Brenham, was placed under arrest for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member. She was taken to the Washington County Jail for booking.
