BRENHAM POLICE ARREST THREE DURING OVERNIGHT HOURS

The overnight period between Friday night and Saturday morning resulted in three arrests in three separate incidents for the Brenham Police Department.

On Friday Night at 10:15pm, Officer Nicholas Conforti made a traffic stop in the 200 Block of South Blue Bell Road.  After an investigation, 59-year-old Donald Armstead of Brenham was arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance Less Than One Gram, Possession of Marijuana Under 2 oz., Tampering With, or Fabricating Physical Evidence, and an Outstanding Warrant for Open Container in a Motor Vehicle issued out of the Washington County Justice of the Peace Precinct One Court.

Meanwhile, Officer Lauren Vieceli conducted a traffic stop at 12:20am Saturday morning in the 2400 Block of Highway 290 East for a vehicle violation.  The driver, 43-year-old Renee Krueger Martinez of Brenham, was administered a Standardized Field Sobriety Test and found to be intoxicated. Martinez was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated Three or More Offenses, and Driving While License Invalid Enhanced.  She was transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.

Then, Saturday morning at 1:45am, Sergeant Jose Perez conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of West Second Street.  The driver, 33-year-old Esteban Armando Apoderado-Vargas of Columbus was administered field sobriety tests and determined to be highly intoxicated.  He was placed into custody for a DWI charge, and taken to the Washington County Jail.
