FOUR CALLS MONDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department responded to four calls on Monday.

Just before 11:45 a.m., the department responded to a fire alarm at a residence in the 1000 block of Davy Street.  However, firefighters were cancelled while enroute, as the keyholder gave proper code for cancellation.

At 1:15 p.m., BFD members were sent out to a crash in the 1000 block of Bormann Street.  There, they found a two-vehicle accident with no fluid mitigation needed.  Firefighters provided traffic control while law enforcement was on the scene.

Shortly after 5:30 p.m., units were dispatched for community service at a home in the 1300 block of South Austin Street.  The homeowner found a metal container, which the fire department removed from the property.  There were no hazards.

At 6 p.m., firefighters received an electrical service call at a home in the 800 block of West Mansfield Street.  They made location and stood by until the City of Brenham Electric Department arrived and released them from the call.
