WASHINGTON MAN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES

  
Oscar Griffin III (Washington Co. Jail)

A Washington Man was arrested on Friday after deputies found him hiding when they came to serve warrants on him.

38-year-old Oscar Griffin III was arrested on multiple warrants at a residence located in the 8500 block of FM 1370.

After getting consent to search the residence, deputies located Griffin hiding underneath the house.

After several minutes, they were later able to remove him and arrest him.

According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, up until they got him to the Washington County Jail, Griffin continued to resisted the efforts of the deputies, made attempts to harm himself in the patrol vehicle, and threatened the life of a deputy.

The release further stated that due to his irrational and aggressive behavior, he was transported to the local hospital for an evaluation.

While at the hospital, Griffin resisted evaluation efforts.

When they got him back to the Washington County Jail, Griffin was charged with Resisting Arrest and Making a Terroristic Threat Against a Peace Officer.

Griffin was also served with additional arrest warrants for Bail Jumping-Failure to Appear, Assault-Family Violence Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member, and a Parole Violation.

The Sheriff’s Office noted that Griffin has an extensive criminal history.
