THREE CALLS TUESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department received three calls on Tuesday.

Approaching 8 a.m., the department was called out to South Blue Bell Road at Pecan Street for a truck smoking.  However, firefighters were unable to locate the vehicle in question, so they returned to service.

At 4 p.m., units were dispatched to a crash at Highway 36 South and FM 109.  They arrived and found a two-vehicle accident with no fluid mitigation needed.  The department provided traffic control while law enforcement was on the scene.

Shortly after 6:45 p.m., BFD members were sent out to the 3400 block of Highway 290 for a possible vehicle fire.  The Brenham Police Department made location first and discovered that there was no fire, as the vehicle’s driver had already fixed the issue, so it cancelled the fire department’s response.
