BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET MONDAY

  

The Brenham School Board will be discussing contracts during their next meeting on Monday night.

During executive session, School Board members will be discussing possible approval of the employment of a Chief Financial Officer. 

They are also scheduled to talk about and possibly approve administrator contracts and professional teacher contracts for the 2024-2025 school year.

In open session, they are scheduled to approve a resolution giving Superintendent Clay Gillentine the authority to negotiate the historical distinction of the Pickard High School Gymnasium.

The board are also expected to give their consent for the Marine Corp Jr ROTC to attend the National High School All Service Drill Championship.  The competition is being held May 4-5 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

School Board members also have a pair of special sports recognitions.  They will be honoring the Boys State Powerlifting Team, which includes Michael Gonzalez, who brought home the first Boys Powerlifting State Championship in school history.  The other is for the Special Olympics and Unified Track Team that won first place at the recent Area Meet and are going on to Regionals.

The Brenham School Board meets on Monday at 6pm in Rooms 111 and 113 at the Brenham High School.
