BRENHAM FIRE DEPT. EXTINGUISHES FIRE UNDER FRIDGE
The Brenham Fire Department put out a kitchen appliance fire Tuesday evening.
Just before 7 p.m., the department was dispatched to a home in the 1500 block of South Austin Street for a report of a structure fire.
Nothing was showing from the exterior of the home when firefighters arrived. When they entered the home, they found a small fire under the refrigerator.
Units turned the power off to the kitchen area and extinguished the small fire. They spoke with the homeowner and advised for an electrician to come check the plug. Firefighters then returned to service.
