CALDWELL SOFTBALL CLINCHES DISTRICT TITLE
The Caldwell Lady Hornets accomplished a rare feat last (Tuesday) night. The Lady Hornets defeated Manor New Tech 20-0 in a game that was called after just three innings.
With the win, Caldwell has now clinched back-to-back undefeated District Championships in Softball.
The Lady Hornets scored 11 runs in the second inning and nine runs in the third inning to seal the deal.
Avery Smith homered in the game. Callie Fletcher had three hits and 4 RBIs. Kysen Toney added three hits and two RBIs.
Caitlin Faust got the win on a short night in the circle.
It was also career victory number 433 for Head Coach Wendy Weiss, who is retiring at the end of the season, after 29 years with Caldwell High School.
