HIGH SCHOOL COACH ARRESTED BY WESTSIDE NARCOTICS TASK FORCE

A Louise High School coach was arrested on Tuesday by members of the Westside Narcotics Task Force.

Around 6pm that evening, the Task Force executed an arrest warrant at a residence located in the 400 Block of Heights Avenue in El Campo.

Officers located and arrested 52-year-old Steven Marshall for a charge of Manufacture and/or Delivery of a Controlled Substance (4 grams to 200 grams).

Marshall was transported to the Colorado County Jail in Columbus without incident.

Authorities also seized suspected crystal methamphetamine during the investigation.

The investigation began when Task Force Officers received information that an area high school coach, identified as Marshall, was trafficking narcotics in the Colorado County area.

The Colorado County Attorney’s Office and Colorado County Sheriff’s Office were part of the investigation.

According to the Task Force, the investigation is ongoing with the possibility of more charges being filed.

The Westside Narcotics Task Force covers four counties and is comprised of investigators from the Austin County Sheriff’s Office, Bellville PD, Sealy PD, Hempstead PD, Waller County Sheriff’s Office, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Colorado County Sheriff’s Office, and the US Drug Enforcement Administration.
