BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED FRIDAY FOR ASSAULT

A Brenham man was arrested for assault Friday.

Brenham police report that Friday morning at 11:55, Officers responded to the 2000 block of FM 389 in reference to a physical disturbance. Investigation revealed that Eric Gutierrez, 25 of Brenham, assaulted another family member. Gutierrez was placed in custody for Assault Family Violence and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.

Also Friday morning at 7:45, Officer Conforti conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Highway 290 West. The driver of the vehicle, Daniel Hiliario Jaramillo, 42 of Brenham, was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid Enhanced and an outstanding warrant. He was booked into the Washington County Jail.

Then Friday morning at 8:30, Officers responded to a suspicious activity call at 900 Block of Hasskarl Drive. Trenton Mathis, 37 of Houston, was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. A probable cause search of his person was conducted and a narcotic was located. Mathis was placed under arrest and was transported to the Washington County Jail. He was booked into the Washington County Jail for Possession Marijuana less than 2 oz, and the Warrant; Driving While License Invalid.

Then Friday afternoon at 1:15, Sergeant Perez conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of East Academy Street. The driver, Brandon Hollier, 39 of Brenham, was discovered to be operating a motor vehicle during a period his license was suspended. Hollier was place in custody for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions. Hollier was transported to the Washington County Jail.

Then Friday afternoon at 2:15, Officers responded to the 700 block of Pleasant View Avenue in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival, Officers located a wanted subject, Samantha Phoenix, 32 of Brenham. Phoenix was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant for Theft of Property less than $2,500 with 2 or more Previous Convictions. Phoenix was transported to the Washington County Jail where she was booked in.
