BRAHMA GOLF FINISHES 9TH AT STATE

The Class 4A Boys State Golf Tournament finished up on Tuesday with the Bellville Brahmas finishing ninth overall.

Bellville was in sixth place after the first day with a team score of 307, but then finished with a rough second day shooting a 327.

It was a big tournament for Deacon Bauerschlag, who shot a 74 on the first day, and then topped it with a 71 on the second day. His two-day score of 145 tied him for third place overall.

Other two day scores included: Cooper Holloman with a 157, Jason Wood with a 159, Dane King with a 178, and Emil Kloss with a 179.

In other State Tournament news, Lake Creek finished in fourth place at the 5A Tournament. The Lions had a two-day team score of 590.
