AREA ROUND PREVIEW: BURTON VS. THORNDALE

Two familiar playoff foes go at it again this (Thursday) evening as the Burton Panthers get ready to face the Thorndale Bulldogs. 

Two seasons ago, Thorndale eliminated Burton from the playoffs.  Last year, Burton eliminated Thorndale from the playoffs.

The Panthers are the runner-ups from District 26-2A with a record of 18-8. They opened the Bi-District round last week with a 14-0 victory over Sabine Pass.

The Bulldogs are the champions of District 27-2A with a record of 25-1-1. They opened Bi-District with a two game sweep of Junction. Thorndale took the opener 14-1, and then also won the second game 4-1.

The Area Round series begins with Game One at 4:30pm at Bombers Stadium in Bryan. KWHI will have live coverage beginning with the pregame at 4pm. Game Two will follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game One. 

Should a third game be necessary, it will be tomorrow (Friday) at 4:30pm at Bombers Stadium. (4pm pregame on KWHI)

Tickets are going to be available at the gate.  The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children.
