HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL AREA ROUND UPDATE
CLASS 5A
Georgetown East View beat Magnolia 6-4. Their series continues tomorrow (Saturday) with Game 2 in Magnolia at 3pm.
Lake Creek defeated Georgetown 4-1. That series resumes tonight (Friday) with Game 2 at 6pm in Mumford.
Magnolia West downed Elgin 8-3. Game two of that series is tonight (Friday) at 7pm at Fireman’s Park in Brenham.
A&M Consolidated and Pflugerville Hendrickson were postponed in the third with Consol leading 5-1. They will finish out game one tonight (Friday) at 5:30pm in College Station, and then play Game 2 approximately 30 minutes later.
CLASS 4A
Salado shutout La Grange 4-0. Game two of that series will be today (Friday) at 4:30pm in Thrall. Should a third game be needed it will be 30 minutes later.
Caldwell and Gatesville had their game stopped in the 3rd inning with Caldwell leading 2-0. They will resume later this (Friday) evening.
Navasota and Boerne had game one of their series postponed as well due to weather. Boerne was leading 4-1. They will resume this (Friday) evening at 5pm at Buda Johnson.
CLASS 3A
Anderson-Shiro opens their series with Game One against Huntington tonight (Friday) at 7pm in Palestine.
Columbus takes on Hondo in a one-game playoff tonight (Friday) at 7pm in Marion.
CLASS 2A
Mumford and Thrall were postponed as well. Mumford was leading 4-0 in the 3rd. They will resume tonight (Friday) at 7pm in Thrall.
Iola battles Harper in a one-game playoff tonight (Friday) at 6pm at Del Valle.
CLASS 1A
Fayetteville faces Medina tonight (Friday) at 7pm in Wimberly.
