BRENHAM POLICE MAKE ARRESTS FOR DWI, RESISTING ARREST, DRIVING WHILE LICENSE INVALID
Several people were taken into custody by Brenham police between Sunday afternoon and early Monday morning.
Brenham Police report that Sunday afternoon, at 3 p.m., Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 500 block of West Blue Bell Road. Investigation revealed that one of the drivers involved was intoxicated. The driver, Marion Joseph Rybarski Jr., 49 of Brenham, was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Then at 7:10 Sunday evening, Officer Garrett Downs conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2100 block of Highway 290 West. Upon further investigation, the driver Jongsamran Pitoon, 39 of Katy, was driving during a period his driver’s license was invalid. Pitoon was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid - Enhanced and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Then Sunday night at 9:20, Officer Garrett Downs conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 600 block of East Academy Street. The driver Kenneth Lionel Roberts, 68 of Brenham, was driving during a period his driver’s license is invalid. Roberts was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid - Enhanced and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Then early Monday morning at 12:05, Officer Garrett Downs conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the 500 block of West Vulcan Street. Upon further investigation, the driver Anita Gutierrez, 29 of Brenham, was found to be driving while intoxicated and denied performing Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. During the arrest, she resisted, and was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest. She was transported to the Washington County Jail where she was then booked in for DWI and Resist Arrest, Search or Transport.
