WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET IN SPECIAL SESSION ON TUESDAY

The Washington County Commissioners Court will have a special session meeting on Tuesday morning.

Among the agenda items is to send a notice of non-renewal to the current jail medical services provider, Corrhealth.

Corrhealth has been the provider for the last three years, and their contract with the county is coming to an end.

A committee was formed to look at other options, and the decision was made to switch to MedTrust, doing business as MedHealth, as the new medical services provider for the jail.

The commissioners will also be discussing using American Rescue Plan Act funds to purchase a 31-month subscription service for CrowdStrike Falcon Endpoint Protection Software.

The County currently uses Microsoft Windows Defender, and after recently testing other solutions, it was determined that CrowdStrike better meets their needs for antivirus, malware, and proactive detection and response.

Other agenda items include four property access agreements for drainage projects, one in Precinct One, and three in Precinct Four, moving the Commissioners meeting on June 4 to the Courthouse Annex, and hearing monthly reports from various county departments.

The Washington County Commissioners Court meets Tuesday at 9am at the Washington County Courthouse.
