THREE CALLS TUESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Department responded to three calls on Tuesday.

Shortly after 7 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 1100 block of South Day Street for a report of an alarm sounding, but they could not find the address for the alarm.  Units spoke to a woman who advised everything was okay and that she did not hear an alarm sounding, so they returned to service.

Around 10:30 a.m., the department was called out to East Alamo Street and South Blue Bell Road for a report of a gas smell in the area.  Firefighters arrived in the area and found no leaks or smell of gas, so they went back to the station.

Just past 2:30 p.m., BFD members stopped at the Bluffview Villas Apartments, 2699 Schulte Boulevard, for smoke alarms beeping at one of the buildings.  They replaced the batteries and returned to service.
